A quick fix with Websters Canvas Ribbon

I have been playing with my pack of Websters Pages Hollywood Vogue papers and decided to have a go at using up the Fabric Ribbon that they make to match each line.

I started with a pair of sandals that the bling has fallen off and glued a
strip of the canvas ribbon onto it.

I stitched it on with a sewing machine (I think I need a leather needle in future!!).

I made my lace ribbon flowers by threading fine wire through the edge of the lace and pulling it tight, it's quick and easy.

A hot gun to attach the flowers and voila....one new pair of sandals.

I have started on a matching bag too......yippee I have lots of canvas ribbon and lots of ideas. What do you like to make with it?

Captured Fairy Box by Carol fox

I had had this little fairy buzzing around my room for the last few nights causing havoc, knocking things over and being very naughty, I eventually managed to catch her, the first thing that came to hand was an old pocket watch front and as soon the fairy landed on this little box I managed to get the watch front over it. As with all fairies as soon as they are caught they freeze and become suspended in time until they are freed again. But I must admit I think she makes a lovely addition to the top of this box.
The box is one of the wooden ones from the shop. I first of all gave it a coat of modern masters copper paint which I treated with the green patina finish to age it.
All the watch parts are purposed from old pocket watches and clocks. The clock hands are two game spinners that I have cut down. The fairy charm,Dragonfly and numbered pin are all available from the shop.
Once everything was in place I gave it a light coat of resin to hold it all in place and give it a nice shine. I also painted the sides of the box with the resin as it makes it go a lovely colour.
Th When it was all dry I gave it a quick rub over with some Viva Decor Inka gold just to give it a bit more of an aged look.
The Feet are the Tim holtz Foundations box feet and Key Hole is one from the Tim Holtz Locket key Set

Please Note: That no faeries were hurt during the making of this box LOL

Playing with Pointillism by Joanne Wardle

If you've seen this month's Craft Stamper magazine, you may, like me, have fallen in love with Kim Costello's Pointillism article. I have made this card using Jasmin and Daisy Daisy from Jo Capper-Sandon's range at Stampotique. I don't own Copics so this was made using Whispers markers. I've a long way to go before I master this technique, but I'm enjoying playing!

Glamour, beads and tassels by Ruth Philps

I found this little tin in a charity shop it had a cute but very faded picture of a vintage postcard on it. It was clearly in need of a little TLC so I soaked the sticker off and scrubbed the tin to remove any dust and grease.

The Art Nouveau lady is taken from a Pink Paislee collage sheet from the Butterfly Garden Collection. She is surrounded with Ranger Liquid Pearls.

The trim around the bottom is similar to Guipre Lace and a large assortment of jewellery findings can be found here along with beaded tassels here.

Earrings & Things By Paula Tidman

This "Earrings and Things" hanging uses Lost Coast designs labels stamp; Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden stamps. Tim Holtz hitch fasteners are used to hang the jewellery from. It fits into to the current “Dangly Things” Challenge.  

Dangly Star by Joanne Wardle

This card is made using stamps from Stampotique originals: the ubiquitous Moon Girl and the oh so useful Great Moon. I have made Great Moon's star dangle in an aperture using wire, and so this card is for the "dangly things" challenge, currently running at Happy Daze.

A Lost Generation by Helen Chilton

This card features  Artistic Outpost stamps "The Great Gatsby".  The stamps work particularly with dye inks and black StazOn on glossy white card. I’ve teamed it up with some torn handmade paper. And it has dangly stars so it works for the current Happy Daze challenge "Dangly Things"
