Think and Wonder Notebook

I have been having a play with the Spring and Summer Distress Inks which are a very good price at Happy Daze. I've always loved Distress Inks but I like vibrant colours so these suit me better than the normal earthy tones. I used a piece of glossy card and Picked Raspberry and Salty Ocean from the Summer set, and Peacock Feathers from the Spring set. I dabbed each pad on my heat proof mat and spritzed with water and pressed the card into it, but drying between each colour. I did a batch of these pieces of card to try out the different colours, which all combined really well, so that I could make some cards. For this make, though, I have made a notebook. First of all I stamped the card with the little girl from the Artistic Outpost Think and Wonder stamp set:-

I covered an aperture notebook with texture paint and then covered it with Inka Gold in Rose and Gold. I then added some fusible fibres using a little gel medium and overlapped the aperture slightly, and then blasted with the heat gun. I then placed the image behind the aperture, and tidied up the inside of the front cover with Porcelain paper.
